Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 261 Breaking Through Barriers and Escaping Danger

Chapter 261 Breaking Through Barriers and Escaping Danger

Crimson Flame roared, its massive body blocking our path, scorching flames swirling around it, forming a natural barrier. I supported Su Yao, while the Di Envoy followed closely behind us, his face pale and his breathing rapid, clearly indicating that the time confinement had taken a heavy toll on him.

The three of us stumbled and ran toward the exit, each step feeling like walking on a knife's edge.

Although the holmium guards were imprisoned, the men in black, like jackals smelling blood, swarmed in from all directions.

Their hands held gleaming, sharp blades, their eyes filled with greed and murderous intent.

"Kill! Leave no one alive!" At the command of the leader in black, the crowd surged forward like a tidal wave.

With a roar, Crimson Flame swung its massive claws, creating gusts of wind that sent several black-clad men at the forefront flying.

It spewed out a flame, forming a wall of fire that separated us from the men in black.

I dared not be negligent. I channeled my beast-taming power into Crimson Flame, making it even stronger.

I know we must break out as soon as possible, otherwise once the time confinement of the Di-Envoy expires and the Holmium Guardians resume their actions, we will truly be trapped.

"Hold on, we'll be out of here soon!" I said through gritted teeth to Su Yao and the Di Envoy.

Su Yao nodded, brandishing her long sword, her sword energy crisscrossing, and she killed the approaching men in black one by one.

Despite her severe injuries, she fought with unwavering resolve, like a war goddess protecting us. We fought our way back, inching closer to the exit.

However, the men in black were numerous and fearless, charging towards us wave after wave.

Just as we were about to reach the exit, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my back. A cold sensation pierced through my armor and into my flesh.

I groaned, staggered, and almost fell to the ground.

"Nong Yu!" Su Yao exclaimed and quickly helped me up.

I gritted my teeth, enduring the pain, and looked back. I saw a man in black holding a dagger, standing not far behind me.

A sinister smile played on his lips, and a cruel glint flashed in his eyes. This man in black, hidden among the crowd, launched a sneak attack on me when I was off guard.

Blood streamed down my back, staining my clothes red. I felt dizzy, and everything before my eyes blurred.

"You..." I managed to utter a single word, but then I couldn't say anything more.

The man in black grinned maliciously, raised his dagger, and lunged at me again...

"Watch out!" Su Yao reacted even faster than I expected.

Almost as soon as I felt the pain, she suddenly turned around and delivered a fierce whip kick, striking the man in black squarely in the chest.

The man screamed and flew backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into the wall before sliding to the ground, his fate unknown.

"Nong Yu!" Su Yao anxiously supported me, her eyes filled with worry.

I gritted my teeth, shook my head, and indicated that I could still hold on. "Let's go! We can't stay here any longer!"

Without further hesitation, Su Yao supported me with one hand and used her sword to clear a path with the other, leading the Di Envoy towards the exit.

The crimson flames roared, spewing fire, and cleared a path for us.

Just as we were about to reach the exit, a powerful pressure suddenly descended, causing the ground to tremble slightly. Oh no! It's the Holmium Guardians!

My heart sank; it seemed that the Di Messenger's time-binding technique had failed.

"You can't escape!" The holmium guard's voice boomed like a bell, echoing throughout the entire space.

His imposing figure appeared before us, his massive battle axe gleaming coldly, like the arrival of death itself.

"Crimson Flame, stop him!" I shouted, pouring all my beast-taming power into Crimson Flame.

With a roar, Crimson Flame charged forward, engaging the Holmium Guard in fierce combat. Sparks flew, and the clanging of metal was deafening.

"Su Yao, take the Di Envoy and go first! I'll be there soon!" I said to Su Yao through gritted teeth.

Su Yao gave me a deep look, said nothing more, and ran towards the exit with the Di Messenger.

I know that now is not the time for sentimentality; only by breaking through as quickly as possible can we save everyone's lives.

The Holmium Guardians were indeed powerful. Although Crimson Flame fought with all his might, he gradually fell into a disadvantageous position.

With each swing of his battle axe, he unleashed a devastating force, and Chi Yan's wounds multiplied. This couldn't go on!

I was anxious and knew I had to find a way to change the situation. I looked around, my gaze falling on the intricate network of passageways and rooms.

A thought flashed through my mind.

"Crimson Flame, retreat!" I shouted.

Although Chi Yan did not understand my intention, he still obeyed my orders and fought and retreated, moving closer to my location.

"Trying to escape? Not so easy!" The holmium guard sneered, brandishing his battle axe as he gave chase.

I sneered, a glint of shrewdness flashing in my eyes.

Just as the Holmium Guardian was about to catch up with Crimson Flame, I suddenly waved my hand, and the power of beast taming surged, triggering the traps that had been set up around us.

Boom! Boom! A series of loud noises rang out, the ground collapsed, the walls crumbled, and the entire space shook violently.

Caught off guard, the holmium guard was buried by falling boulders and debris, letting out an angry roar. I seized the opportunity to rush out of the exit with Crimson Flame, and the view suddenly opened up before me.

"Nong Yu!" I heard Su Yao's voice. She was standing outside the exit, anxiously waiting for me.

I was about to respond when I suddenly felt a sharp pain, my vision went black, and I swayed...

"Su Yao... be careful..." I felt a sudden dizziness, as if my body was about to fall apart.

In my dazed state, I heard Su Yao's anxious voice: "Nong Yu! Nong Yu!"

I struggled to open my eyes and saw Su Yao's anxious face.

She gently stroked my face, her eyes filled with heartache: "Darling, you must hold on."

"I...I'm fine..." I gritted my teeth, enduring the excruciating pain, and tried to stand up.

However, the surging blood and qi in my body made me dizzy, and I almost fell to the ground again.

Su Yao quickly supported me and asked worriedly, "You are badly injured. We need to find a safe place to heal quickly."

I nodded, leaning on Su Yao, and walked forward step by step. Envoy Di followed behind us, his face solemn, and he remained silent.

After escaping the castle, we followed a hidden path. The surrounding area was a dense forest, so thick that almost no light penetrated.

“We must leave here as soon as possible,” the Di Messenger suddenly said. “The dark forces will soon discover that we have escaped, and they will definitely send people to hunt us down.”

“I know,” I said, “but I’m badly injured and can’t walk fast at all.”

Su Yao supported me and said firmly, "Don't worry, I will protect you."

We continued walking for about an hour until we finally came to an open area.

Just when we thought we were about to find the exit, a group of men in black suddenly appeared in front of us.

"Who are you?" I asked warily.

"Hmph, you can't escape!" the leader of the men in black sneered. "Come back with us obediently, and you might suffer less!"

"Dream on!" Su Yao shouted angrily, drew her longsword, and assumed a fighting stance.

"You're asking for death!" At the command of the man in black, a group of people rushed towards us.

My heart sank; I knew a fierce battle was inevitable. Although I was seriously injured, I couldn't just sit and wait to die.

I took a deep breath, mobilized the remaining beast-taming power within my body, and prepared to fight.

Su Yao's swordsmanship was fierce and deadly; several men in black fell instantly to her blade. However, the men in black outnumbered us, and we gradually found ourselves at a disadvantage.

Crimson Flame fought valiantly, spewing flames that burned several men in black to ashes. However, it too was wounded and its movements grew increasingly sluggish.

Just when we were about to give up, the Di messenger suddenly said, "Come with me!"

He led us in one direction, through a thicket of bushes, to a seemingly ordinary room.

“This is it,” Di’s messenger said, pointing to the room. “There’s a secret entrance here; we can hide inside.”

I was puzzled. How could there be a secret room here? The messenger didn't explain. Instead, he walked to a corner of the room, moved a stone, and revealed a dark opening...
