Chapter 2099 - 24.360 Sixth Violet Star - At the core of the world

The moment the Beast God, Mo Minkong, lost consciousness, the God of Destruction and the God of Void and Darkness focused more on his safety than anything else. The progress of world destruction continues and the rumbling of the world resumes. A large piece of the world had started to break apart, yet the ancient forest remains unmoved. Hei Anjing and Ye Xiajie had reactivated the barrier around this forest making it the only safe place on this planet.

They safely secured Mo Minkong and waited for the man hiding underground to come out. But for some reason, the shaking of the ground had halted. This left both the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness shocked.

"This is a bit strange. A’Xia, bring father back to the ancient forest first," said Hei Anjing.

Ye Xiajie who is carrying Mo Minkong nods his head and flies to the direction where the ancient forest can be found. Once the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness had left, the God of Destruction had descended and sent his divine consciousness to the earth below him. He tried to sense the presence of the being that is supposed to be hiding underneath the land.

What he saw was something he would have never expected in his life. He saw the Chief Warden of their Nether System approaching the beyonder imprisoned in this world. It was unknown what was happening with Lou Wuye for him to come see the enemy they were supposed to defeat.

"How interesting~" The God of Destruction mumbles.

On the other hand, before the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness had arrived. The Chief Warden who had arrived ahead of them in the borders only checked if the Beast God, Mo Minkong, was still alive. Then he stares at the deep trench under his feet as if thinking of something. He still hasn’t forgotten how that beyonder had called his name and how he had introduced himself with the same surname as Lou like himself. He had a certain feeling he couldn’t explain coming from his heart. It was as if something in him was able to sense this being much more clearer now that he had seen a part of his memories.

The fact that he had seen himself in this man’s memories seems so absurd for him yet at the same time, he felt that he had indeed experienced what had happened in that memory yet at the same time he couldn’t accept it as well. After all, if this man is indeed his brother, doesn’t that mean he is a beyonder as well? Doesn’t that make him an enemy of his two lords, Lord Hei and his Milord? He just couldn’t accept this and decided to confront this man himself for the second time.

"If I remember it right, he is supposedly imprisoned at the core of the world. I should check on it for one last time," murmured Chief Warden Lou Wuye before he jumped down the trenches himself.

It was only a few hours later that the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness had arrived.

At this very moment, the chief warden wearing this emotionless expression stood before the man imprisoned within the cracking world core in front of him. The man inside the core was like a younger version of the Chief Warden’s original appearance. It was because of this that the Chief Warden didn’t immediately believe that all the words he said about himself were all lies.

"Brother, I know that you would come to see me," The beyonder imprisoned in this world said.

This man is called Lou Zhuge and this vessel before the Chief Warden is his real body.

The Chief Warden said, "Don’t call me brother."

"Hahaha~ you cannot deny that I am indeed your younger brother. I do not know what happened to you but... Brother, it seems that your connection to this cosmos has gotten stronger. He tried to awaken the original memories of Lou Wuye and made him remember everything about their lives as beings born in the obsidian cosmos. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t see any part of that memory within the Chief Warden.

"Why are your original memories about us and our original cosmos missing!? This cannot be possible!" Lord Zhuga exclaimed.

The Chief Warden who had fallen under the control of Lou Zhuge without him noticed had woken up at this moment and jumped away from the man who tried to see through his soul. Covered in cold sweat, Lou Wuye didn’t expect to fall under the control of this man called Lou Zhuge.

"What the hell did you just try to do?!" Asked the Chief Warden in anger.

Lou Zhuge chuckles and looks at him while saying, "Come on, brother~. Didn’t I just help you remember the real you? But for some unknown reason your original memories as a beyonder like me were completely gone as if it was extracted from your soul before you were reborn in this world. Brother, who do you think is capable of such a feat?"

The Chief Warden caught off guard by this question immediately had only one person in his mind. The appearance of the God of Destruction flashed in his head as if silently answering the question of this beyonder who keeps calling himself his brother.

’If this man is telling the truth that his original memories were extracted by someone before he was allowed to be reincarnated in this diamond cosmos, does that mean his Milord is also in the same state as himself?’

These current thoughts of the Chief Warden made him question his original existence in this world. What he didn’t know was that this moment was the very thing Lou Zhuge was waiting for just so he could capture his soul.

He should have never believed the nonsense of his enemy. If his Milord knows about it, he would get scolded so badly and might even get punished. Just before his whole being was covered by the cosmos energy, the last thing Lou Wuye had remembered was the face of his beloved, Warden Yun Ming.

The laughter of Lou Zhuge echoes and just before the Chief Warden completely loses his senses, he notices a sudden surge of light. There he saw the God of Destruction holding a crimson death scythe and cut apart the energy that imprisoned him and is controlled by this beyonder called Lou Zhuge.

He heard the beyonder screams in disbelief.

"You crazy bastard! Why even dare to cut the whole star into half!!!" Lou Zhuge screamed like a madman.

On the other hand, the energy that imprisoned the Chief Warden had faded and he felt something had pulled him away from where he was. He saw a red string wrapped around his right hand pulling him over and at the end of this red line is none other than Warden Yun Ming who had arrived in time to beg his master to save him.

With the whole world split into two parts, the world core is now exposed in air and the man imprisoned by it was also exposed. Lou Zhuge whose limbs were chained and connected to the world core itself had appeared before everyone’s eyes.

"So what if you can see me now? Are you willing to completely destroy this world core just so you can kill me!?" Lou Zhuge shouted.

At first, he couldn’t recognize that the God of Destruction before him was the same person as the guardian that protects this cosmos. After all, Hei Anjing looks more like a young fox-like man due to his vessel in this world and his hair is completely opposite of the original silver that Lou Zhuge remembers. He thought that the divinities before him were ordinary upper realm gods which he can easily defeat as before.

Warden Yun Ming immediately treated his lover after getting him back by his side. He would have never expected that the Chief Warden would have fallen into such a state.

"Wuye, Wuye? Look at me. How are you feeling?" Yun Ming asked worriedly while pouring most of his qi to push away that disgusting energy that was devouring Lou Wuye.

"Ming’er...?" Lou Wuye, the Chief Warden called.

For some unknown reason his sense keeps on fading at his current state. He knew that something had gotten wrong with his soul. As if something was corroding it making him lose his sense, thoughts and soul to fade.

Drips. Drip.

Tears of Warden Yun Ming fell on his face, this warmth that fell on his face had somehow helped Lou Wuye keep his senses for a bit longer.

"Don’t... cry, Ming’er. I... will be... alright," The Chief Warden said.
