Chapter 522: Sudden Interference
Chapter 522: Sudden Interference
As Simon had these thoughts and was watching the video at the same time, he also thought of the Chaos Blade and the Chaos Flames which he exposed.
He even thought of Devour, but he believed that Caesar might not know about such a skill.
However, the more he thought of all the things he exposed in that battle and all the things he said to Lucien and even said out loud when he was talking to Lilith, the uglier his expression became.
Previously, he was not hellbent on killing Caesar as quickly as possible.
If the opportunity to kill Caesar came, he would kill him.
This was how he felt.
But now?
Caesar had to die.
And he had to die as quickly as possible.
The killing intent in Simon’s heart was like a volcano waiting to erupt, but he controlled it.
’There’s no audio in the video, but I should expect the worst and assume that the camera could also record our voices.’
’He knows too much.’
Simon closed his eyes and released a soft sigh.
At the same time, the video showing how ’Simon’ killed the Grey Pact ended.
The holographic projection vanished.
There was a tense and solemn silence across the ravine of the Shadowgrave Clan, and everybody’s gaze shifted to Simon who had an utterly calm expression.
He glanced at Caesar, then he looked at the judges who had furrowed brows beneath their masks.
"Do you have anything to say about what we’ve just watched, Broken Halo?" The judge with the weeping mask asked with a slightly cold tone.
’Of all the judges to speak first.’
Simon shook his head inwardly in annoyance.
’The other judges must know that this judge is favoring Caesar, but most likely because I’m a slave and they won’t gain anything from trying to prevent that judge from helping Caesar, they seem to be taking the back seat.’
He released a deep sigh.
"That video is false. It has been fabricated to make it seem like I was the one that killed the Grey Pact when it’s the other way around."
"Ohh. What do you mean?" The judge with a black horned skull mask questioned.
Simon looked at the judge with slight relief flashing in his eyes.
"It was First Blade that killed the Grey Pact, not me."
The judge’s eyes narrowed.
"And why would he do that? Why did he also let you, the demon with the lowest rank live?"
Simon glanced at Caesar.
"Because Caesar told him to kill them. First Blade was also obsessed in making me his disciple, so he didn’t kill me."
The judge wearing a weeping demon mask scoffed immediately.
"That’s a strong accusation boy, do you have any proof that Caesar ordered First Blade to kill the Grey Pact?"
Simon glanced at Caesar who noticed his glance and looked at him.
He could tell them about Lucien who was still alive, but that would lead to multiple problems.
Simon was not even thinking about the fact that Lucien was far away from them.
No.
If the clan was hellbent on bringing in Lucien for questioning, he was certain that they would be able to do such a thing.
What he was worried about was Caesar.
Although Caesar stopped the video after it showed ’him’ teleporting the corpses of the Grey Pact out of the frozen expanse, Simon was fairly certain that Caesar had more recordings of what happened in the desolate frozen expanse.
’If I talk about Lucien, Caesar can show them the part where I enslaved Lucien and the Winter Monkey, and he can tell them to kidnap Lucien so that they can inspect his sea of consciousness.’
’That would lead to even more problems.’
Waves upon waves continuously formed in Simon’s sea of consciousness as he thought of so many things.
Barely three seconds had gone by, then he looked at the judge wearing a weeping demon mask.
"I don’t have any proof that Caesar ordered First Blade to kill the Grey Pact."
The judge’s lips could not help but curl up slightly.
"Of course you don’t."
Simon indifferently looked at the judge.
"By the way, we heard that First Blade died. How exactly did he die, Broken Halo?"
"And since you were recording the whole thing, Caesar, do you have recordings of what happened next?"
Caesar and Simon looked at the judge wearing a white mask with countless eyes.
Caesar glanced at Simon who also glanced back at him.
"Unfortunately my Lord, I do not have recordings of what happened after. The recording artifact of the humans has a battery, and it stopped recording at that point because it was low."
Caesar said, and the judge hummed softly.
"That’s oddly convenient."
"You’ll still have to explain to us later on why you’re using a technology of earth to make a recording when we have recording artifacts in the clan."
Caesar forced a smile beneath his mask but he said nothing.
As for Simon, his eyes flashed when he saw this.
’It seems this judge does not like Caesar that much or he wants to do his job properly.’
Just as Simon had this thought, the judge looked at him.
"Well, Broken Halo. I asked you a question."
Simon nodded slightly.
"First Blade died at the hands of Lucien and the Winter Monkey. The Winter Monkey was a Minor Calamity Beast Lucien bought from the auction in Gondor City."
"The environment played a vital role in the death of First Blade. It greatly assisted the Frostborn and beast."
"Hmm." The judge hummed softly.
The judge wearing a weeping demon mask suddenly spoke.
"So, you mean to tell us that you have no proof or evidence that everything you said is the truth?"
"You don’t have a witness, and you don’t even have First Blade’s corpse to begin with. But there’s this video evidence of you viciously killing the Grey Pact."
"Tell us Broken Halo, if you were in our position, who would you believe?"
"Somebody with a solid evidence of somebody with no evidence at all?"
Simon frowned, and was about to speak, but his expression suddenly changed when he sensed a presence.
He was not the only one that had a change of expression.
Caesar, the judges, the witnesses, and every single clan member that was present had a drastic change in their expressions.
’What in the?’
’Why is a Grave Lord coming here?’
