Chapter 305: The Solar Warship
Chapter 305: The Solar Warship
Lefia was awakened by a commotion outside. She opened her eyes, dressed, and opened the door, seeing many people rushing in one direction. Lefia stopped an elderly man. "Uncle, what happened?"
The old man looked at Lefia and exclaimed, "An alien warship has appeared in the sun!"
Lefia was startled and took out a rolled-up piece of thin paper from her pocket. The paper automatically flattened, and Lefia pressed it, revealing Colonel Jess's face.
"Professor, follow the crowd and we'll meet at the entrance of the conference center."
"Ok."
Lefia followed the crowd, running alongside them. Soon, a spacious, bright, and magnificent gate appeared, with many soldiers maintaining order at the entrance. The people entered the conference center in order.
Lefia saw that Colonel Jess and the other eight were already waiting on the west side of the door. Lefia arrived breathlessly.
"Colonel, what's wrong?"
"This morning, the Northern Hemisphere noticed something unusual about the sun. Let's go inside." With that, Colonel Jess led the way to the entrance of the conference center. Lefia and the others followed Jess into the huge conference center, which was already packed with over a thousand people.
These people were still in shock, and their expressions were complicated.
Just two minutes after Lefia and the others took their seats, the large projection screen at the front desk of the conference center rose up, the lights in the conference center went out, and the doors and windows were closed, plunging the huge conference center into darkness.
More than a thousand people gathered in silence. Even Lefia was affected by the environment and just stared at the huge white curtain in front of her.
Suddenly, a massive fireball shot out and landed on the curtain. Everyone gasped. Inside the sun, a black mass moved rapidly, then reached the edge of the sun and transformed into a huge white mass, which slowly moved on. The camera zoomed in, and within this white area, the outline of a golden warship appeared!
The white block was moving rapidly away from the sun, seemingly accelerating, and after about a minute, it vanished into thin air.
The short film was only about three minutes long, but three minutes was enough to be breathtaking. The moment everyone saw the outline of the golden warships, they couldn't help but hold their breath, some secretly calculating the size of these warships.
The conference center lit up again, and people started talking.
Jess and his group of ten walked out of the conference center and turned out of the building. Two military vehicles were already waiting in front of the building. Jess and the others got into the vehicles, which drove along the yellow line. About ten minutes later, the vehicles entered a cave.
All ten remained silent, seemingly still immersed in memories of the solar warship.
Jess got out of the car and, led by several soldiers, took a vertical elevator to a certain underground level.
Through the bulletproof glass window, Lefia saw a room where many people dressed in white were coming and going. Two elderly people with gray hair and four or five middle-aged people were fiddling with a gold ring! The gold ring was actually a set of devices, each with a light on, indicating that they were all working.
An old man inside the house noticed someone outside the window and waved to Jess and the others.
Suddenly, several people in the room cried out in surprise. The old man turned around and was also frightened. He saw that the golden ring was floating in the air, emitting a milky white halo, and the indicator lights of the equipment next to it were flashing continuously.
The suspended ring suddenly accelerated and crashed into the bulletproof glass window with a bang. The bulletproof glass was like a thin sheet of paper, shattered by the ring. The ring flew directly to Lefia, spun around, and then went straight for Lefia's left hand. Before anyone and Lefia could react, the golden ring was on Lefia's left index finger. Then the halo slowly faded, and the ring disappeared.
Lefia unconsciously touched the ring on her left index finger, and the golden ring reappeared, also emitting a milky white halo. Jess and the others watched this scene in astonishment. What was even more incredible to everyone was that after emitting the milky white halo, the ring radiated light, filling the entire outside space, as if these pale blue rays possessed a spirit.
A moment later, a holographic image appeared: a beautiful woman wearing a starlight crown and golden bracelets, looking flustered, was saying something, but Lefia couldn't understand what she was saying. However, she noticed that the woman's stomach seemed to be bulging.
"Kalis!" Lefia cried out, but the others exclaimed, "Lefia!"
Lefia turned around curiously and saw Jess and the others staring at her in surprise. Lefia then looked back at Kalis in the hologram and noticed that Kalis's appearance in the hologram was so similar to her own! Lefia was stunned.
Two elderly people with gray hair and several middle-aged people had already rushed out of the house, and stared at Kalis and Lefia in disbelief.
Colonel Jess roared, "Lefia, what is that woman saying?"
Lefia woke up with a start and shook her head at Jess, who looked lost and dejected.
Right after Holographic Kalis finished speaking, the holographic image went out, and the ring disappeared again.
"Pick Cao, Edward, could you come here for a moment?" Lefia beckoned to Pick Cao and Edward, and the two walked over to Lefia's side. Lefia whispered a few words to them, and the two nodded.
Lefia extended her left hand, and Pick Cao touched her left index finger. There was no reaction after two or three minutes. Edward also touched Lefia's left index finger, and there was still no reaction after two or three minutes.
Lefia touched her left index finger with her right hand, and strangely, the golden ring immediately appeared, emitting a milky white halo. Then, light flowed out, and pale blue light filled the entire space. The holographic image reappeared, but this image was different from the previous one. This time, Kalis's belly was smaller, and she didn't look flustered. Instead, she had a big smile on her face and was muttering something. Lefia still didn't know what Kalis was saying.
“Professor Lefia, this ring belongs to Area 51. Please return it to us,” an elderly man with gray hair said to Lefia.
Lefia turned to look at Jess, who nodded. Lefia reluctantly touched her left hand. This time, the golden ring appeared, but it didn't emit a milky white halo. Lefia was suddenly startled.
"Please wait a moment." The white-haired old man didn't know what Lefia was going to do, but he nodded nonetheless.
Lefia closed her eyes, focused her attention, and then touched the ring. Sure enough, a milky white halo appeared, and the light flowed out again. Pale blue light filled the entire space. This time, the holographic image greatly surprised everyone.
People see a huge square with all sorts of strange people standing there: mighty giants, tall elves, and "barbarians" carrying various weapons. But in the center of the square stands a tall and handsome Eastern man. This man shouts, "Kalis!" Then the camera zooms in on this man, rotates twice, and the holographic image goes out.
Lefia pondered for a moment, then walked up to Jess.
“Jace, you might not believe it, but this ring is actually mentally linked to me. Just now, I was trying to find the image of the ‘God’ through the ring, and this Eastern man appeared instead.”
"You mean this Eastern man is a 'god'?"
“Yes. Didn’t you notice that the camera later zoomed in on that man? This ring belongs to the God-King Kalis. That man is the ‘Celestial God.’” After saying this, Kalis leaned closer to Jess and whispered in his ear for a long time. Jess nodded.
After whispering with Jess, Lefia turned around and approached the elderly man with gray hair who had reached out for the ring. "Uncle, where did you find this ring?"
The elderly man with gray hair looked at Jess, and Jess nodded.
“Professor Lefia, this ring was obtained by an agent from a tomb-raiding gang in Country C.”
"A tomb raiding gang from Country C?"
"Yes."
Lefia sensed that something was amiss. How could the tomb raiding gang from Country C know where Carliss was buried or where she died?
Colonel Jess approached the elderly man with gray hair, took out a document and showed it to him. The elderly man's hands trembled slightly as he nodded repeatedly. Then Jess took out a folding phone, unfolded the screen, and displayed General Dalson, the head of Area 51.
"Sir, this ring is very important to our team. I would like to borrow it."
The general glanced at Jess, Lefia, and the others, then nodded. "Colonel Jess, you can register and sign with Director Fan. Director Fan, please complete the formalities."
"Yes, sir," the elderly man with gray hair replied.
After Jess and Director Fan completed the formalities, Jess led everyone out of the room. Although Lefia was very happy, she didn't show it on her face, but simply smiled and thanked Director Fan.
All ten people gathered in Jess's room. Edward exclaimed first, "Professor Lefia, it's incredible that the ring actually obeys you."
Pick Cao chimed in, "What's even stranger is that the Queen and Lefia look a lot like each other in that holographic image."
Henry, ever outspoken, asked, "Lefia, are you the reincarnation of that queen?"
Even Jess was starting to believe Henry's words; otherwise, the strange things that had just happened couldn't be explained.
Computer expert John remained silent, the middle-aged man seemingly as dull as a computer machine, listening to his companions' chatter.
Pick-Cao seemed to enjoy a lively atmosphere. "John, what do you think about this?"
"Dr. Cao, considering the situation of the alien warship at the conference center, our Earth is probably not going to be peaceful."
Colonel Jess seemed to have gained an insight, his eyes turning to Lefia. "Professor Lefia, that 'god' actually had the appearance of an Eastern man, and was completely different from the ancient humans of that time. Could that 'god' be an alien?"
Upon hearing Jess's question, everyone turned their gaze to Lefia.
“Jace, I have to say, I’ve done a lot of research on ‘Celestials,’ and the results all seem to point to ‘Celestials’ being aliens.”
"Those alien warships that appeared on the sun, were they the 'Celestials' and their crew?"
"Probably."
"Alright. Everyone, pack up quickly, we'll meet in half an hour and set off to find the 'Heavenly Book'!"
Upon hearing Jess mention searching for the "Book of Heaven," everyone's spirits lifted, and they were all filled with excitement. Except for Lefia, everyone began to feel curious about that Norse mythology.
Pick Cao nudged Lefia's sleeve. "Hi, Your Majesty, could I borrow your masterpiece, 'War of the Gods,' to take a look?"
Lefia glanced at Pick Cao with disdain. "Dr. Cao, sure, but it's a rental, ten yuan a day." Pick Cao stuck his tongue out at Lefia.
Half an hour later, everyone boarded the plane as agreed, escorted by four advanced fighter jets, just like when they came.
Lefia took a thick book out of her backpack and handed it to Pick Cao. Pick Cao smiled, thanked her, and carefully flipped through the book.
The four fighter jets then returned to base. After flying for nearly nine hours, they landed at a military base of an ally, the United States M. Colonel Jess led the group to transfer to an advanced military attack helicopter, which then began to fly northwest.
