Chapter 50 The Final Loss
Chapter 50 The Final Loss
"The gears of fate turn silently, and we are merely pawns woven into this world."
—Anna
Inside a dilapidated, dusty, and cobweb-covered abandoned factory in the western suburbs, Xie Shiyun was tightly bound to a worn-out stool. Her hands were red from being bound by rough hemp rope, and her legs were immobilized. Her hair was disheveled and draped over her shoulders, with a few strands falling beside her cheeks, making her look somewhat disheveled.
She was unconscious.
The man in black looked at her expressionlessly, a hint of coldness and determination flashing in his eyes.
He slowly lifted his foot and walked towards her step by step. Each step carried a heavy weight, as if he were crushing the air around him.
When he finally reached her, he stopped and gazed at her silently. Her face was as pale as paper, her lips bloodless, and her hair was disheveled and scattered around her face, making her look extremely haggard.
The man in black took a deep breath, seemingly suppressing some emotion deep within him. Then, he slowly reached out and picked up a glass of water from the table. The cold water droplets swirled in the glass, reflecting his cold face.
He relentlessly splashed water on her face. Water droplets sprayed everywhere, soaking her clothes and wetting her hair. The cold water stung her skin, causing her to shiver violently.
I woke up
The man in black's eyes remained cold, devoid of any pity.
Xie Shiyun, whose face was splashed with water, slowly raised his head. He squinted slightly and finally saw the man in front of him clearly—Tang Zhou!
He was accompanied by four or five men in black.
At this moment, his face was expressionless, his eyes as cold as ice, as if everything around him was irrelevant to him. He stood there quietly, emanating a chilling aura.
He was completely different from his usual self…
He slowly approached her, stood in front of her, then squatted down, reached out and pinched her chin with one hand, a cold smile appearing on his lips: "I want to see if that Fu Shiyue will really come to save you!" His voice carried a mocking and sarcastic tone, as if he was waiting for a good show to unfold.
Then, he shoved her away, clapped his hands, and a smirk of anticipation crept onto his lips…
"Tang Zhou, you're a madman..." Xie Shiyun, with her hair disheveled, raised her head slightly and said weakly in a soft voice.
Tang Zhou, who was in front of him, heard her words, turned around, came to her, grabbed her hair, and lifted her face to meet his gaze.
He glared at her fiercely, his eyes filled with hatred and madness: "If it weren't for Fu Shiyue, I wouldn't have become a madman! It's all because of you that my life has become a mess!"
Xie Shiyun's eyes were filled with pain and despair, and tears slid down her cheeks.
Tang Zhou grew even more ferocious: "If you go to hell, don't come looking for me, go find him, hahahahaha..."
Just then, the warehouse door suddenly opened, and a beam of light shone into the dark space...
Fu Shiyue
Tang Zhou and Xie Shiyun looked in that direction and saw a tall and imposing figure. He was wearing a black suit, with a stern face and a cold and distant look in his eyes, making people hesitant to approach him.
Fu Shiyue exuded a ruthless aura, as if he could freeze the surrounding air into ice.
He stood there quietly, yet he exuded an invisible pressure that sent chills down people's spines.
Tang Zhou's lips curled up slightly, revealing a cold smile: "After waiting for so long, I've finally seen my old friend again. It's really not easy..." His voice carried a hint of sarcasm and mockery.
Fu Shiyue's face instantly darkened, his eyes filled with vigilance and anger, but he still tried to control his emotions and move closer.
However, at that moment, Tang Zhou swiftly pulled a shiny black pistol from his pocket, skillfully cocked it, and pressed the muzzle firmly against Xie Shiyun's temple.
The entire scene instantly became tense, and Fu Shiyue stopped in his tracks.
"Fu Shiyue, don't come any closer..."
"Tang Zhou, what do you want? Money? Power? Let her go. She shouldn't be involved in this." Fu Shiyue's voice was deep and firm, full of authority and determination.
Tang Zhou's gaze swept coldly over Fu Shiyue, a disdainful smile playing on his lips. His eyes then fell on Xie Shiyun, a complex emotion flashing in them.
Fu Shiyue clenched his fists, his eyes flashing with anger and anxiety. However, Tang Zhou remained unmoved, turning his gaze to Fu Shiyue with a self-deprecating smile on his face.
"No amount of money or power can bring my parents back to life. What use are they to me!" His voice revealed deep despair and hatred.
Fu Shiyue frowned, trying to reason with Tang Zhou, but Tang Zhou interrupted him.
"What I want is your life." Tang Zhou's tone was cold and resolute, as if he had already made up his mind.
Fu Shiyue's face darkened. He realized that Tang Zhou had fallen into a mad obsession. But he couldn't let Tang Zhou harm Xie Shiyun; he had to protect her safety at any cost.
Tang Zhou's gaze returned to Xie Shiyun, his eyes revealing a hint of pain and helplessness.
"You happen to be the woman Fu Shiyue loves. It could be anyone, but... why you?" His voice trembled slightly, as if he had an unspeakable contradiction deep in his heart.
Xie Shiyun gazed silently at Tang Zhou, a hint of sadness in her eyes. She knew she had been used, but at this moment, she was more concerned with how to resolve this crisis and protect herself and Fu Shiyue.
Tang Zhou became increasingly agitated; his hands trembled slightly, and tears welled up in his eyes.
“I approached you with ulterior motives before, you must hate me to death…” He choked up, his heart filled with regret and self-blame.
Fu Shiyue took the opportunity to step forward, trying to distract Tang Zhou.
"Tang Zhou, put down your gun. We can talk about other solutions. Don't hurt innocent people." Fu Shiyue tried his best to remain calm, hoping to persuade Tang Zhou to lay down his weapon.
However, Tang Zhou ignored Fu Shiyue's advice. His gaze refocused on Xie Shiyun, and he pointed the gun at her again.
Time seemed to freeze, the atmosphere tense to the extreme. Xie Shiyun felt a chill rise up her spine; she tried to remain calm, searching for an opportunity to escape.
"Fu Shiyue, you should kneel down and kowtow to me to admit your mistake."
"Okay, I'll kneel."
So he knelt down in front of him.
Tang Zhou's dagger pierced through the skin in one stroke...
Fu Shiyue's face turned deathly pale in an instant. His lips trembled with pain, but he didn't make a sound. He just stared at Tang Zhou with a sinister look, like the Grim Reaper.
"You should kowtow."
"Indeed, emotions are a person's greatest weakness."
The bodyguard pressed Fu Shiyue's head down hard, causing it to hit Tang Zhou's shoe squarely.
Tang Zhou laughed with satisfaction: "This is exactly what I wanted to see."
They kicked him repeatedly in the chest, and Fu Shiyue lay on his back on the ground, having endured countless punches and kicks.
Xie Shiyun let out a helpless scream, tears streaming down her face like a flood breaking through a dam.
Tang Zhou finally called a halt
"It's too good for you two to die together like this... Fu Shiyue, you go and pay for my parents' lives..."
Xie Shiyun tried to break free of her restraints and fell to the ground, chair and all, looking at the unconscious Fu Shiyue.
She cried out in despair…
"Fu Shiyue, don't leave me alone... Please... Please..."
"Tang Zhou, you're insane!"
A commotion outside
"How dare you use me!"
Fu Shiling barged in, cursing and swearing, with Anna following behind.
What I saw was
Fu Shiyue was bleeding, and Xie Shiyun was tied up...
Anna wanted to go over, but he stopped her.
"Don't go over there, you're pregnant!"
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Didn't you see?" He pointed to the two people behind him.
"I eliminated your rival for you, shouldn't you thank me?"
Looking at Tang Zhou in front of him, Fu Shiling felt that he was really too ruthless.
I never realized he was such a timid and submissive person. He's truly terrifying. You can't judge a book by its cover...
"Tang Zhou, we have no way out. The police are outside..."
At this moment, Tang Zhou couldn't hear anything; his eyes were already red.
His eyes were blinded by hatred, his heart filled with endless rage and resentment. He gripped the dagger tightly in his hand, as if it were his only refuge and the tool for his revenge. He walked towards Fu Shiling step by step, each step carrying a firm and resolute determination.
One step, two steps… his pace quickened, his eyes flashing with madness. He had only one thought in his mind: to make Fu Shiling pay the price, to end his life with this dagger.
However, just as he was about to approach Fu Shiling, Fu Shiling suddenly stretched out his arms and hugged Anna tightly. His movements were so swift that the man had no time to react.
Fu Shiling held Anna in his arms.
His gaze shifted from Fu Shiling to Anna in his arms.
It pierced Anna's abdomen...
The bleeding could not be stopped immediately.
A group of police officers burst in...
Tang Zhou was arrested
Anna lay quietly in his arms, whispering, "Ah Ling...our child..."
Blood was everywhere around him.
Her hand slowly caressed his face: "I...I...don't regret meeting you...but...I never want to see you again..."
