Chapter 223 3 Children
Chapter 223 3 Children
Yunyi had a feeling that she had known all along; the children hadn't been found upstairs, so they were all hidden here.
Yunyi walked to the side, pushed the wheel, and pulled up the iron cage.
The sound of rushing water filled the air, carrying a medicinal scent, and it was clear that the container was filled with high-quality medicinal herbs.
There were three children in the cage, but they were all unconscious. They had been motionless until the cage shook, at which point one of the children let out a soft moan.
Yunyi hurriedly went over to try to open the iron cage, but fortunately the cage door was not locked; it was only secured with a hook, so it was easy to open.
One of the little boys opened his eyes, and when he saw Yunyi, a look of fear flashed in his eyes.
"I'm here to save you," Yunyi said softly. "Can you move? Then crawl over here."
The little boy, though puzzled, really didn't want to stay in the cage any longer. He nodded and tried to climb out, but stopped when he reached the cage door. "Sister, they're not dead either. Can you get them out too?"
Yunyi nodded.
The little boy then dragged the other two unconscious children to the cage entrance, and waited for Yunyi to take the two children down before climbing to the door.
"How old are you?" Yunyi picked him up and put him down. "What's your name?"
"My name is An'an, Shi'an, and I'm seven years old." Shi'an's speech was quite clear, though she seemed a little weak. "Sister, who are you?"
"You can call me Sister Yun." Yun Yi said as she took his pulse. Fortunately, there were no internal injuries; he had fainted purely from hunger.
So he took out a cup and put some spiritual spring water that had been diluted three or four times in it.
Shi An licked her lips and gulped down two mouthfuls: "Sister Yun, it's so sweet."
"Okay." Yunyi nodded. "Let's feed them both a little too."
Shi An came over to help support them and then gave the two children some water.
The spiritual spring water has incredible properties. Although they only drank a little bit, it gave the two children a chance to recover. They coughed a few times and opened their eyes.
They were all stunned when they saw Yunyi, but when they saw Shi'an, their guardedness lessened considerably.
"This is Sister Yun, she's here to save us," Shi An whispered.
The two children's eyes lit up immediately.
"Sister Yun," the only little girl among them called out weakly.
The little boy also called out to someone.
Yunyi took out two or three steamed buns and handed them to them.
The three children licked their lips as soon as they saw the steamed buns, then took them and started eating.
It's clear that Shi An and the girl named Youyou are very well-mannered; even though they were so hungry, they still ate with proper manners, while the boy named Linzi was much more rude.
"Can you tell me about the situation here?" Yunyi asked after they had almost finished eating.
"I was..." Shi An paused for a moment, "...three months ago, my family framed me and sold me. Youyou was stolen by kidnappers, and Linzi was abducted. They arrived half a month later than me. After they arrived, they were locked in a cave. There were many children inside, but the number of children gradually decreased. Three days ago, it was our turn..."
Yunyi was furious when she heard that when it was the children's turn, they couldn't eat. Not only could they not eat, but they also had to soak in medicine, supposedly to make their bodies purer.
Not eating prevents the production of feces, urine, sweat, and other impurities, while soaking in medicinal solutions can increase the drug content in the blood.
“As for what they did, I don’t know. We haven’t even been seven days yet, but I do know… they…” Shi An’s body trembled. “They’re all dead.”
Where is the cave where the child was imprisoned?
"just in front."
Yunyi nodded: "I'll see you out first, and then I'll go find them later."
"Sister Yun, those Taoist nuns are very vicious, you..."
"It's okay." Yunyi patted his head. "Sister Yun is very powerful. She will beat the bad guys down." As Yunyi spoke, she called out Sixteen's name in her mind.
Soon, sounds came from outside the cave entrance.
Monkey Sixteen arrived with the monkeys.
“Let the monkeys take you down; they will protect you,” Yunyi told the three children.
The three children were immediately stunned.
"Sister Yun is amazing." Youyou smiled.
Shi An and Lin Zi also believed that Sister Yun was very powerful, because Sister Yun could command monkeys.
Yunyi watched the three children go down and was about to return to the cave when she saw someone running towards her in the distance. She then followed them down: "You came pretty fast."
"It's so good that you're alright, Miss." Hong Yi ran all the way without daring to delay for a moment. Now that she saw that Yun Yi was safe and sound, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
Tan Zhuzhui, who was behind, was somewhat surprised. After all, he was very good at light-footed skills, but chasing this woman was not easy at all.
"Why are you here too?" Yunyi asked Tanzhu.
"It was the Crown Prince who sent him to help," Hong Yi explained, then suddenly staggered.
Tan Zhu, who was behind her, quickly reached out to help her.
Hong Yi then realized that he had stepped on a bone, and also noticed the pile of bones on the ground: "This..."
Tan Zhu also noticed it, and even gasped in surprise.
“These are all children’s remains.” Yun Yi was quite calm. “The children who were captured were all hidden in the caves up there. I’ll talk about the details later. These three are the ones I just rescued. Take a look. I need to go up and check them out. I suspect that Qing Xuanzi is also hiding in there.”
"I'm with you."
“I’ll go.” Tan Zhu stepped forward. “These three children need to be taken care of. I’m a grown man, I don’t know how to take care of children.”
“We don’t need to be taken care of, Monkey will take care of us,” Shi An said. “Sister Yun, we will be good, I will watch over my younger brother and sister.”
“Then let’s go up together.” Yunyi nodded, then pulled the grappling hook back into the cave.
Hong Yi and Tan Zhu exchanged a glance, and then went up into the cave one after the other.
Continuing further in from the pool, there are many branching paths.
Fortunately, the little fox had already scouted the area, so when Yunyi arrived, it took the lead and steered the way.
After turning two corners, we found a stone chamber with about a dozen children inside. Although they were not unconscious, their expressions were all blank.
"These beasts," Tan Zhu couldn't help but curse.
“You take them out; the monkeys will help,” Yunyi said. “I’ll go check ahead.”
"Young Miss, please be careful."
"Don't worry." Yunyi nodded, then turned and ran ahead with Shiba.
