A journey through ancient times, a journey of exquisite divine skills

Chapter 8 Cultivation

Chapter 8 Cultivation

It all happened in the blink of an eye.

The next morning, Yun Dan got up, washed up, and went to find Mr. and Mrs. Lin.

Yun Dan plans to spend the whole day in the mountains to find a quiet place to cultivate, so she needs to discuss it with the original owner's parents first.

When Yun Dan's parents saw her arrive, they quickly asked what was wrong.

Yun Dan then told Lin's parents about her plans.

Lin's father: "Little girl, although we know you are different from others, you still need to pay attention to your safety."

Lin's mother quickly said, "Yes, yes, we must not go into the deep mountains."

There might be big insects there. Just find a quiet spot on the outskirts and don't worry us.

"Father, Mother, don't worry, I won't go deep into the mountains, I won't be in any danger."

"I'll leave after dinner, so don't worry too much. I'll be back around late afternoon."

-

Yun Dan bid farewell to Lin's parents, slung a small backpack over her shoulder, and headed into the mountains.

Along the way, Yundan enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery and breathed in the fresh air, feeling exceptionally relaxed. She continued along the mountain path, past one or two houses, and after about fifteen minutes, she arrived at a valley.

There is a stream in the valley, and the water is so clear that you can see the bottom.

The stream was gurgling and flowing. Yun Dan squatted down, scooped up the water with her hands, washed her face, and felt extremely refreshed.

Yun Dan stepped across the stream using the stone steps and continued walking forward when she suddenly heard a faint cry.

She followed the sound and saw a little girl standing under a big tree, crying.

Yun Dan walked up to her and asked from about five meters away, "Little sister, what's wrong? Why are you here all alone?"

When the little girl saw Yun Dan, she cried even harder and said, "Sister, I'm lost. I can't find my way home."

Yun Dan was speechless. What kind of genius would leave a child here?

Yun Dan took a few more steps forward and comforted the little girl, saying, "Little sister, don't cry. I'll help you find your way home. Do you remember where your home is?"

The little girl shook her head and said, "I don't remember either. I saw a rabbit at the foot of the mountain, I chased it, and then I got here, and the rabbit disappeared."

Upon hearing this, Yun Dan felt reassured and looked around before asking, "Did you just come from this direction?"

The little girl looked in the direction Yun Dan pointed, then shook her head and said, "I don't remember either."

Yun Dan was also helpless when she heard her words, and asked, "Then tell your sister, do you know which village you are from?"

The little girl said, "I'm from Stream Village."

After hearing this, Yun Dan recalled the little girl's memories. It turned out that the little girl was from the next village.

Xishui Village and Sujia Village are not far apart, and their backs are connected.

If you walk along the village road, it will take about half an hour to get there, but if you walk along the outer edge of the back mountain, it will be much closer.

"Yes, I know your village. Don't be afraid, don't cry. I'll take you home."

She led the little girl by the hand and walked along the mountain path towards the side of the path.

After walking for about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, they finally arrived in the little girl's memory, where she saw a familiar scene.

She happily said to Yundan, "Sister, sister, this is our village."

Yun Dan then let go of the little girl's hand.

"Okay, then you should go home quickly. You can't run around like this anymore."

"Yes, thank you for taking me home, sister." The little girl ran over happily.

Yun Dan watched the little girl's retreating figure, feeling immense satisfaction. She turned and left the foot of the mountain near Xishui Village, continuing her journey back into the mountains.

As Yun Dan walked, she surveyed her surroundings, trying to find a suitable place to cultivate.

-

In a beautiful and spectacular landscape, if someone were to look from a distance, they would see this scene.

There stood a figure dressed in a pudding-colored outfit, holding a tree branch, hovering in the air like a gray serpent, its cold light gleaming in the sunlight.

Although her movements weren't particularly elegant, the tree branch in her hand was like a beautiful sight. Every move she made resembled a graceful dance, making one admire her superb skills.

This kind of superb skill is for someone who doesn't know martial arts.

If a first-rate or top-level expert were to describe this move, they would find it full of flaws.

However, for someone who was learning martial arts for the first time, it was still quite amazing. Even she herself was so engrossed in her own moves that she didn't even realize it.

Her swordsmanship was like flowing water, smooth and uninterrupted. Each swing of the sword was like a dance, elegant and full of power, and the strange thing was that she was also radiating a red glow.

The determination and resolve in her eyes seemed to have channeled all her power into the branches, and the sword energy emanating from them was so sharp that nothing could withstand its attack.

If you were to consider the tree branch in her hand as a sword, you would think that her swordsmanship is superb. Every movement is poetic and beautiful, graceful and agile, and her swordsmanship is as swift as the wind, which is breathtaking.

Of course, this view isn't particularly impressive. It's just that to an ordinary person, it feels like something unattainable.

"I never imagined that such ancient martial arts, which only exist in novels or on TV, would actually exist."

"If I were still alive before I traveled through time, I, as a modern person, would never have believed that there were people in the world who knew martial arts," Yun Dan muttered to herself after stopping.

I've only practiced the Linglong Divine Skill for a little over three hours today, and only now do I realize how powerful this divine skill is.

If it's something you've seen in modern times, like Jin Yong's or Gu Long's martial arts novels on TV.

In comparison, the Linglong Divine Skill would easily defeat them.

It was as if all their martial arts moves had been combined. In just half a day, my internal energy had grown from a thin strand of hair to the thickness of a chopstick.

Unfortunately, it was probably because Xiaoyu was injured by that purple crack while protecting me that the exquisite divine skill became incomplete.

Yun Dan looked up at the sky, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Xiaoyu, are you alright? Yundan misses you. Have you dreamt of Yundan while you were sleeping?"

Xiaoyu, how can I help you wake up?

Yun Dan stood there quietly, staring blankly at the sky, as if drawn by an invisible force.

Her thoughts seemed to have already flown to a distant place, making them elusive.

Time slips away quietly; perhaps a few minutes have passed, or perhaps several hours have gone by.

Yun Dan remained motionless, silent as a statue.

Finally, she let out a slow sigh, as if to expel all the weariness and worries in her heart.

With that sigh, she slowly began to gather her scattered thoughts, pulling them back to reality little by little.

"Dad, Mom, younger brother, and Xiaoyu..." Yun Dan murmured softly, her voice so low that only she could hear it.

Her gaze softened yet remained firm, a warm light flickering in her eyes.

“I’m doing well here, so you don’t need to worry about me. I firmly believe that one day we will be reunited.”

Her words were filled with longing for her family and anticipation for the future, as if conveying a silent promise to her loved ones far away.

Yun Dan picked up the bamboo tube she carried and took a sip of water. After calming herself down, she slowly walked towards Su Family Village.
