Lin Yanan didn't say anything, but handed him the medical report. Ruan Jianan took the report and quickly scanned the text on it. When he saw the words "confirmed pregnancy", he was stunned. After a few seconds, he reacted, hugged Lin Yanan, and shouted excitedly: "We have a baby! We have a baby!"

The news made the two ecstatic. They walked out of the hospital hand in hand, the sunshine shining on them, as if covering them with a layer of happiness.

From that day on, Ruan Jianan became extra attentive. He would get up early every morning to prepare a nutritious breakfast for Lin Yanan. He would carefully select fresh ingredients, cook a pot of fragrant rice porridge, and serve it with golden fried eggs and refreshing side dishes. Watching Lin Yanan eat the food, his face was filled with a satisfied smile.

"Honey, eat more so that the baby can grow well." Ruan Jianan said as he picked up some food for Lin Yanan.

Lin Yanan smiled and said, "If I keep eating like this, I'm going to become a fat man."

Ruan Jianan quickly shook his head, "No matter what you look like, you are the most beautiful in my heart. You are working hard for our baby now, it doesn't matter if you are a little fat."

In the evening, Ruan Jianan would massage Lin Yanan's swollen legs. He first brought a basin of warm water, let Lin Yanan soak her feet in it, and then gently dried her feet. Then, he sat at Lin Yanan's feet, applied massage oil on his hands, and gently massaged her calves and ankles, fearing that he would hurt her.

"Are you comfortable, dear?" Ruan Jianan asked softly.

Lin Yanan nodded, "Well, I feel much more comfortable. It's great to have you." There was a gleam of happiness in her eyes.

Every time he accompanied Lin Yanan to a prenatal checkup, Ruan Jianan always held her hand tightly, never letting go. In the hospital corridor, he would carefully explain to Lin Yanan the significance of each checkup item and comfort her not to be nervous.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here." His voice was firm and warm, making Lin Yanan feel extremely at ease.

Ruan Jianan also took care of all the housework at home. He was busy washing clothes, mopping the floor, and cooking. Once, he accidentally cut his finger while cooking in the kitchen, and blood was flowing. Lin Yanan heard the sound and ran over. Seeing his injured finger, she burst into tears.

"Why are you so careless?" Lin Yanan complained while looking for a Band-Aid.

Ruan Jianan smiled and said, "It's okay. This little injury is nothing. As long as you can have a good rest, I'm willing to do anything."

However, pregnancy is not always smooth sailing. Lin Yanan's morning sickness became more and more severe, and her mood became a little unstable. One night, Lin Yanan suddenly felt her stomach churning, and she rushed to the bathroom and vomited. Ruan Jianan hurried over and gently patted her back.

"I really can't stand it anymore. When will this end?" Lin Yanan suddenly broke down and cried.

Ruan Jianan smiled and said, "Silly, why are you saying thank you to me?"

As time went by, Lin Yanan's belly gradually grew bigger. Ruan Jianan would talk to her belly every day, telling stories and singing songs to the baby.

"Baby, you have to be good and don't bother your mother."
